Timber Detail

After analysing Alvar Aalto's Mid Century Beech Model 45 Armchair, a study detail was undertaken between a concealed timber join using a mortise and tenon join. This exploration was valuable in understanding timbers materiality and construction practices involved in creating this seamless join.
